With over 18 years of experience in developing award winning campaigns, Jorhie Alban is among the first Public Relations (PR) practitioners to pioneer healthcare communication in Middle East and North Africa. She created and led PR and disease awareness programs for over 20 pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, including Sanofi, Pfizer, GSK, MSD, Novartis, Roche, J&J, Abbott, and Astra Zeneca, among others. Her experience spans the agency and corporate world in Emerging Markets, including Africa and the Middle East.

At Sanofi, in addition to heading the Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility for Gulf countries, Jorhie also serves as a member of the company’s Leadership and Management teams in the region. She is also the Gender Balance Lead, helping women colleagues advance in leadership roles.

Prior to joining Sanofi, Jorhie led the Communications for Africa Middle East at Pfizer where she looked after 12 markets. There, she created and launched initiatives that were benchmarked in Pfizer Europe and Turkey.

She knows from personal experience how challenging it is for a Filipina to navigate through complex work environments in the region. To give back, Jorhie has mentored aspiring talents and is most proud of having helped people gain the confidence they to get ahead in their career.

Jorhie also dabbles in poetry and gives talks at universities and various communities from time to time.
